Premium lingerie brand for ladies with a fuller bust, Curvy Kate has rewarded end-to-end international logistics service provider Torque for its support with a new contract.

The Harrow-based client, a specialist in designing and producing D to K cup output, which unveiled its initial swimwear range earlier this year, has renewed its three-year arrangement with Torque.

Curvy Kate's products are now available via around 200 high street stores and about 180 websites, including those of Next, House of Fraser and Littlewoods with Torque distributing to organisations including Very, Debenhams, JD Williams, Figleaves, Tesco and Amazon.

Founded in 2009 the client originally undertook its logistics work in-house, but growing business volumes meant it needed to outsource this to a third-party provider. Torque was appointed following a referral by an existing client.

Explaining the renewal, Steve Hudson, managing director, Curvy Kate, said: "We were seeking an end-to-end service provider – a one-stop-shop – for a streamlined process, appointed Torque, and have never regretted it. They meet our needs admirably, we're very happy with the relationship and hope the connection will endure as our business continues to grow."

Torque's services for Curvy Kate include providing freight by air and sea, pick and pack, boxed-to-hang, and labelling. Providing the pick and pack service involves receiving the goods for each forwarding destination and re-packaging them as required.

Stewart Firth, director, Torque said: "We are delighted to continue our partnership with Curvy Kate and look forward to working with them as their business grows. Adding the new swimwear range is testament to the ongoing success of the company and we will support them all the way to ensure their customers receive a service that is second-to-none".

Winner of the Full Bust Brand of the Year prize in the UK Lingerie Awards of 2011 and 2012, Curvy Kate recently launched its spring and summer collection.

Torque is an independent company with a turnover of £60m employing 660 people across sites in Leeds, Bradford, Wigan and London. It offers a full logistics service, from origin to end customer, and clients are able to choose which service options they need, when they need them, to suit their own logistical and warehousing needs.

Providing over 1.3 million square feet of warehousing capacity, Torque operates globally for clients ranging from large and famous high street names to small internet retailers.

Other current Torque clients include: outdoor clothing and equipment retailer Mountain Warehouse; luxury knitwear manufacturer and importer Pringle of Scotland; business work wear retailer TM Lewin and leading hair piece specialist Daxbourne International.
