Takaharu Fushimi Returned to U.S. to Assume His Post as CEO of Yokohama Corp.

Takaharu Fushimi has returned to the U.S. to assume his post as CEO of Yokohama Corp. of North America.

Yokohama Rubber Co., Ltd. (YRC) announced the return of Takaharu Fushimi to the United States to assume the post of chief executive officer of Yokohama Corp. of North America.

In his new position, Fushimi will be responsible for the strategic operations in North America, as well as oversight of the multiple subsidiaries and business units responsible for sales and marketing, OE business and manufacturing.

This is Fushimi’s second assignment in the United States; he was chief finanacial officer at Yokohama Tire Corp. before returning to Yokohama’s global headquarters in Japan in 2007. He then held various executive posts, including his most recent one as head of OE tire sales and marketing division for YRC.

YRC announced Fushimi’s appointment, along with other changes in its senior management team, in August 2014. For details see “Yokohama's Noji will leave for Japan.”

Yokohama Corp. of North America is a subsidiary of YRC and oversees all Yokohama-related operations in North America, including sales and marketing, manufacturing, technical development, long-term corporate planning and investment.
