Dumping Investigations on Galvanized Imports to Be Ended by Australia

The Australian Customs and Border Protection Service (ACBPS) has announced that, as a result of its dumping investigation regarding galvanized steel and aluminum zinc coated steel imports from China, South Korea and Taiwan, it has found no dumping by South Korea's Union Steel and by Taiwan-based companies Sheng Yu and Ta Fong Steel. Meanwhile, the ACBPS has found that aluminum zinc coated steel imports from Sheng Yu have been dumped but the dumping margin is less than two percent.

Accordingly, the customs and border protection service has decided to terminate the investigation regarding the abovementioned companies. Dumping securities will no longer be required as of April 26, 2013 for imports of galvanized steel exported from Union Steel Korea, Sheng Yu and Ta Fong, and for aluminum zinc coated steel exported from Union Steel Korea and Sheng Yu. Dumping securities already collected for the relevant imports from these exporters will be cancelled.
