Sportswear Announced New Strategic Organisational Changes to Drive Profitable Growth

Columbia Sportswear Company, that designs and markets sports apparel and accessories, has announced new strategic organisational changes, intended to further drive sustainable, profitable growth.

According to the promotional changes, Bryan Timm, a 17-year company veteran who is currently the executive vice president and chief operating officer, has been promoted as the president and chief operating officer of Columbia Sportswear Company, effective February 25, 2015.

Tim Boyle, who has served as president and chief executive officer of the company since 1988, will continue to lead the company as CEO.

Peter Bragdon, who is currently the senior vice president of legal and corporate affairs, general counsel, and secretary, is promoted to the new title of executive vice president, chief administrative officer and general counsel, effective immediately.

Tom Cusick, serving as the senior vice president of finance and CFO, is elevated to the new position of executive vice president of finance, effective immediately.

The company has also announced similar leadership alignments for the Columbia and Sorel brands.

Joe Boyle, currently working as vice president of apparel merchandising, is appointed to the newly-created position of vice president of the Columbia brand merchandising & design, effective immediately, with responsibility for product creation for Columbia brand apparel, footwear, accessories & equipment.

Mark Nenow, who is the vice president of global footwear merchandising & design, is appointed to the newly-created position of President of the Sorel Brand, effective immediately, with responsibility for global brand direction and product creation.

Chief executive officer Tim Boyle said, “We believe each of the brands in Columbia Sportswear Company’s portfolio has significant growth potential and that this more brand-centric organization will help us realize that potential. I look forward to working with these leaders and the entire global organization to drive sustainable, profitable growth through each of our brands.”
