India's TCPL Packaging to Purchase MK 1060 YM Foil-Stamping and Die-Cutting Equipment

TCPL Packaging, a India based converter of paperboard and folding cartons, has signed a deal to purchase two new MK 1060 YM foil-stamping and die-cutting machines from Heidelberg.

Manufactured in partnership with MK Masterwork Machinery, the MK1060 YM is designed to handle large-format die cutting and foil-stamping requirements with longitudinal and transversal foil pull systems.

TCPL Managing Director Saket Kanoria said: “The MK1060 YM equipment is a compelling value-add to our business model and portfolio.”

Capable of handling substrates with thickness ranging from 90gsm to 2000gsm, the equipment features advanced vacuum feed table that can substantially enhance sheet feeding stability.

Kanoria added: “We hope the MK1060 will meet our performance expectations. The fact that Heidelberg has an extensive service network in India also helps.”

The MK1060 stamping section is integrated with a foil advance system consisting of 4 advance shafts which ensure that the foil unwinds with an error tolerance of 1mm, resulting in foil savings.

Heidelberg India Packaging Solutions product manager Lalitkumar Lamba said: “The foil wind unit is capable of maintaining stable foil tension at high speed. The honeycomb chase is made of special thermal resistant materials.

“The heated bed consists of 20 heating zones which gives accurate heating properties on complicated foil stamping jobs.”

TCPL supplies cork-tipping paper, laminates, sleeves and wrap-around labels as well as folding cartons, printed blanks and outers, litho-lamination, plastic cartons, blister packs and shelf-ready packaging.
