Matthews Has Announced a New Line of Thermal Transfer Printers for Packaging Applications

Matthews Marking Systems has unveiled a new line of thermal transfer printers for packaging applications, which are sold under the SVM nameplate.

According to the company, the new economical SVM-Series printers offer arrangements for either continuous or intermittent printing and are available in two print widths including 32mm or 53mm.

The printers integrate with form/fill/seal systems, primary labelers, thermo-formers and overwrapping equipment. With a print quality of up to 300dpi, they are suitable for printing barcodes, graphics, fixed or variable data, date codes and batch numbers.

Matthews Marking Systems marketing manager Trace Bocan commenting on the new printers said, "These base digital thermal transfer printers provide tremendous value for the price, marking primarily expiry and production dates, and offer easy access mounting frames for simple installation to existing production processes."

US-based Matthews Marking is a member of the Brand Solutions group of Matthews International.
