Elevance to Present New Findings at 2015 Polyurethanes Technical Conference

Elevance Renewable Sciences, Inc. will present new findings at the 2015 Polyurethanes Technical Conference that demonstrate how polyurethanes based on long chain bio-renewable polyols result in a new semi-crystalline class of thermoplastic polyurethanes (TPUs) and reactive hot melt adhesives. This novel class of polyurethanes can meet the demand for renewable materials that need to survive in aggressive, high-temperature and high-humidity environments. The results will be presented during the renewable content polyols technical session, “Novel Polyurethanes from Bio-Renewable C18 Polyols.”

Ultimately, Elevance will enable the polyurethane and adhesive markets to expand product offerings with renewable materials in demanding environments such as automotive seals, coatings and high-end sporting goods.

On Wednesday, October 7, 2015, 9:00 a.m., Allyson Beuhler, research scientist for Elevance Renewable Sciences, Inc. Beuhler will receive the Best Presentation Award in recognition of her presentation at the 2014 Polyurethanes Technical Conference.

The 2015 Polyurethanes Technical Conference will be held at Gaylord Palms Resort & Convention Center in Orlando, Florida.
