The meeting also approved a 'logo' featuring the state map with a picture of Mahatma Gandhi weaving Charkha and a chinar leaf in the background for the state KVIB.

The Minister also informed the meeting that during the ongoing fiscal the state KVIB has furthered Rs. 70 million as margin money to 304 units employing around 2,430 workers.

The J&K government has already distributed 2,000 modern looms to weavers so far, and it intends to disseminate 40,000 more such looms over the next two years, the Minister informed.
