Polymer Logistics Opens New Service Center in Indiana, US

Polymer Logistics, a retail ready packaging company, has launched a 75,000ft2 logistics and distribution center in Porter County, Indiana, US.

Located at 6750 Daniel Burnham Dr., Portage IN, the new facility will create more than 40 new jobs.

“This facility helps us complete our nationwide network of service centers that will provide our customers with the highest level of performance. We greatly appreciate the support we’ve received from the community and look forward to a successful operation here in Portage,” said Fred Heptinstall, CEO North America for Polymer Logistics.

Attendees at the grand opening heard from local officials, as well as executives from Polymer Logistics and the owner of the building.

“We are very happy and pleased to welcome Polymer Logistics to the City of Portage. This company is another great addition to the Ameriplex development and our business community. We are extremely pleased with 40 new jobs that are created by Polymer Logistics and the opportunities they create for our residents. We hope to have a long lasting relationship with Polymer as they grow their company along with our city,” said Mayor James Snyder of Portage.

“The Chamber is excited to have Polymer open their new facility right here in Portage. The addition of 40 new jobs is always a great help to the local economy. Their focus on community involvement is what sparked my ear while talking to the management team. Looking ahead, the Chamber is looking forward to a healthy partnership with the Polymer team,” said Nancy Simpson, Executive Director of the Portage Chamber of Commerce.

The new service center is located in a building owned by Venture One and was developed by Holladay Construction Group. It uses the latest technology for energy conservation, product handling and high-capacity transport container washing, and has 12 truck doors.

Polymer Logistics currently operates two service centers in California and one in Texas, and will open a fifth location in Georgia early next year. The company offers eco-friendly containers to major retailers in North America.
