The 2013 Los Angeles Auto Show Will Host Premieres From Nine Brands on November 20

The 2013 Los Angeles auto show will host international premieres from nine brands when its doors open on November 20.

The event’s organisers confirmed BMW, Chevrolet, Ford, Honda, Mercedes-Benz, Mini, Porsche, Subaru and Volkswagen would all unveil never-before-seen models at the show, which is competing with simultaneous motor shows in Tokyo, Japan, and Guangzhou, China, for star cars.

The unveiling of the Porsche Macan promises to be among the highlights. The luxury German sports car maker’s first compact SUV has been spied undergoing real-world testing but Porsche is yet to release official images or details of the all-new model.

The third-generation Mini Cooper will also debut at the LA show. The BMW-owned British small-car brand previewed the all-new hatch late last month when it released the Mini Vision concept, though the final design of the production car has already been largely uncovered in a series of revealing spy shots.

Mercedes is reportedly readying the S65 AMG for Los Angeles. The V12-powered luxury sedan will become the performance flagship in the new S-Class range, and is tipped to accelerate from 0-100km/h in less than four seconds in all-wheel-drive specification.

Chevrolet is expected to display its all-new Suburban and Tahoe SUVs for the first time, while reports suggest Volkswagen will unveil the US-spec version of the Golf Wagon, dubbed the Jetta SportWagen in North America.
