Australia-based Pro-Pac Packaging has announced the acquisition of the business and assets of packaging consumables supplier Start Food Tech (SFT) for an undisclosed amount.
Following the acquisition, SFT business will operate as a separate sales unit and its warehousing and logistic will be integrated into Pro-Pac's existing distribution centers.
Pro-Pac CEO Brandon Penn commenting on the acquisition said: "The purchase of this business provides Pro-Pac with further critical mass in this strategic growth area."
SFT supplies packaging consumables and products to the meat, chicken and fish processing industries, while Pro-Pac provides flexible and rigid packaging solutions for a broad group of customers.
