Rexam Beverage Can has been selected by Tropical, Canary Island beer brewed by Compania Cervecera de Canarias, a subsidiary of SABMiller to manufacture its new 50cl serving.
The new can will be produced at Rexam's Berlin plant and will incorporate Thermochromic ink into a totally new design. Consumers can select and serve the beer once it reaches optimum drinking temperature.
Rexam sales manager Fernando Munoz said the company has good relationship with SABMiller and its subsidiaries.
"Rexam Beverage Can has a long standing relationship with SABMiller and its subsidiaries, and so was the natural choice for Compania Cervecera de Canarias, S.A. and Tropical," Munoz added.
Consumer packaging company Rexam has its main operations in Europe, North America and South America.
