Competitive Cyclist has launched an improved website that includes a new Bike Build tool, better navigation and search functions. It's also faster and optimized for use on tablets and handsets, the company said.
The website's Bike Builder tool lets consumers configure their bike. The new photo- and video-driven Fit Calculator offers a step-by-step guide to help consumers choose the right-sized bike. Search functions were improved to provide more detailed product navigation and allow browsers to shop by category. The site also now features user-generated product reviews from the Leaderboard community and makes checkout more efficient with real-time inventory updates.
"Most importantly, we preserved and significantly improved the Fit Calculator, Bike Builder, and pre- and back-order capabilities," said Brendan Quirk, executive vice president of customer experience at Backcountry.com, a sister site to Competitive Cyclist. Both websites are owned by Liberty Media Corporation, part of the Liberty Interactive Group (traded on Nasdaq under the LINTA, LINTB symbols).
