Coca-Cola FEMSA Has Broken Ground on a New $200m Bottling Plant

Mexico-based Coca-Cola FEMSA has broken ground on a new $200m bottling plant in Tocancipa in central Colombia.

According to the company, which is a unit of Fomento Economico Mexicano, the plant will become operational in late 2014.

Featuring new design and technology, the bottling plant in Parque Industrial FEMSA will have the sustainability standards and considered green.

Coca-Cola FEMSA has bottling plants in Bogota, Medellin, Bucaramanga, Barranquilla, Cali and La Calera at present.

Fomento Economico Mexicano also owns FEMSA Comercio.
