Vanee Foods Company Will Invest Close to $8m in a High-Speed Hot Fill Bottling Line

US-based food products manufacturer Vanee Foods Company will invest close to $8m in a high-speed hot fill bottling line.

Based at the company's Broadview manufacturing facility, the new facility will fill bottles ranging in size from 8 fl oz up to 1 gallon, with a production capacity of over 60 million pounds every year.

Speaking about the investment, Vanee vice president of marketing and communications Luke Vanee said, "We worked closely with best-in-class equipment suppliers -- like Pacific Packaging and Fowler/Zalkin -- to build out this line.

"The high speed and operational flexibility of the line provide the low cost structure and customer responsiveness that Vanee Foods is known for in our other packaging formats."

Established in 1950, the company produces shelf stable entrées, gravies, sauces, soups and soup bases and supplies its products to varied customer bases including leading food brands to national and regional chain restaurants.

Vanee Foods believes that the new line will open new avenues for its primary business segments, including co-packing, custom formulation for chain restaurants, and broadline foodservice.

"With a much broader set of manufacturing capabilities, we can expand on our existing partnerships and establish new ones," Vanee added.

The new bottling line is expected to be operational by the end of September.
