Borland Group Has Acquired The Former Carlyle Insurance Group's Kirkcaldy Office

Scottish insurance and financial services firm Borland Group has acquired the former Carlyle Insurance Group’s Kirkcaldy office, in a bid to strengthen its operations in the country.

The acquirer did not reveal the transaction amount, although it said that the six-figure deal was completed , as reported by the allmediascotland.com.

The Scotland-based insurer, which manages offices in Dunfermline and Aberdeen, said that the transaction will enable it to offer expert insurance advice to both commercial and private customers.

Following the completion of the transaction, the acquirer's workforce will increase to 57 across the three locations, with the nine Kirkcaldy based employees added to Borland.

Borland Insurance chief executive John Silcock will spearhead the Kirkcaldy base as the firm plans to expand services for current and future clients by providing holistic insurance and financial advice throughout Scotland.

Silcock was quoted by the news agency as saying "Our expanding team of skilled insurance specialists places us in an ideal position as we continue to develop the business throughout our three existing operations."

The Borland Group, delivers fully independent and coordinated insurance advice, investments and pension advice.
