Taiwan-based AsiaTree Global Technology (AGT) has begun marketing its in-house-developed AT8000 series automated equipment for LED T8 light tubes, and will additionally offer the AT6000 series for LED light bulbs in the second half of 2014, according to the company.
The AT8000 series, featuring automatic component input, light bar welding and insertion, and light tube assembly, can be used to assemble 1-, 2- and 4-foot plastic or glass LED T8 tubes with a capacity of 400-1,000 units per hour or 200,000 units a month, AGT said.
As Taiwan-based LED lighting makers are comparatively conservative about adopting automated equipment, AGT is targeting China-based makers as potential clients for the time being, and has been talking with more than 10 companies, the AGT indicated.
AGT said it aims to produce an equivalent of six production lines of AT8000 series machines a year.
