European Oil and Gas Companies Will Descend on Perth for The 2014 AOG

A record number of European oil and gas companies will descend on Perth for the 2014 Australasian Oil & Gas Exhibition & Conference (AOG). For the first time Belgium and Denmark will have a strong presence on the exhibition floor and the French industry will be represented across two pavilions.

Developed in partnership with AWEX Australasia representing Wallonia, the southern region of Belgium, the Belgium-Wallonia pavilion has attracted a number of heavy weights. Leading experts and innovators from Besix, Boostcode International and Eloy Water, Hamon D'Hondt and Telus will demonstrate the best in Belgian technology.

For the third consecutive year, the French Trade Commission in Australia will host a delegation of innovative oil and gas companies on the French pavilion. Ten companies will be hosted on the French Pavilion, including SDV, Aventa, S2M, Coletanche, Bardot, Bluecham, Forgital Dembiermont, Duflot Industries and Douce Hydro, encompassing a broad spectrum of industry sectors.

In a new partnership, AOG will also welcome the French-Australian Chamber of Commerce & Industry (FACCI) in addition to the existing French Pavilion as part of the French contingent. The additional stand coincides with the increased uptake of French technologies in Australian LNG projects including Chevron's Gorgon and Wheatstone projects.

FACCI established its Perth bureau in early 2012 and facilitates the business relationships between French companies operating in Australian oil and gas projects and Australian suppliers developing their business in France.

COMECA, a French technology company specialising in global electrical solutions for industrial processes in harsh-environments will be one of eight of exhibitors on the FACCI WA stand at AOG.

"We are strengthening our presence worldwide opening COMECA subsidiaries in many regions, including Perth, to improve our local technical support and services for on-going and future projects in Australia. Developing our business relationships in this region is a priority for COMECA, and AOG 2014 is the perfect opportunity to promote our local presence and bring French technology to all majors players in the industry," said Managing Director Nicolas Neuzillet.

AOG brings together more than 500 exhibitors from across 20 countries, including the US, UK, China, Norway, Scotland, Singapore, Holland, Italy and France. The exhibition has expanded to cater to these niche industry sectors and in 2014, for the first time, will occupy space on the second level of the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre.

"To date we have had a 6% increase in the number of European companies who have signed on for AOG 2014 from 2013. It is fantastic to see European companies recognising the value and importance of the Asia-Pacific market and striving to build meaningful relationships with our developers," said AOG Event Director, Bill Hare.
