9. Breville unveils world first Oracle manual automatic coffee machine

"This pour is fully adjustable – this is definitely not a one-touch machine – with espresso through to long black options, as well as a boiling water function, temperature control and pour timer," is how we reported the launch of the Oracle.

We travelled to Orange, in central-west New South Wales, to visit the Electrolux refrigeration plant shortly before the company's head office in Sweden announced it would be moving production to Thailand.

1. Why Harvey Norman failed to gain approval for new Ryde head office development

Five months after we exclusively revealed Harvey Norman wanted to relocate its head office to Ryde, we backed it up with the exclusive story on why the council had rejected its proposal. It was our biggest story of the year and the reader response was exceptional.
