GR–NEAM, a wholly-owned subsidiary of General Re, has set up a new office in London, UK, in an effort to expand its global insurance asset management capabilities.
A branch of the company's Dublin subsidiary, the new office is scheduled to be headed by its UK and European Sales managing director Alverne Bolitho.
GR-NEAM Limited, Dublin general manager and director John Connolly said, ''We believe that our firm's capabilities provide real value to Lloyds' syndicates and managing agencies, particularly in today's uniquely challenging environment.''
GR-NEAM president Bill Rotatori said the company has been managing assets at Lloyd's since 1998.
''Lloyd's is a major insurance hub and we are committed to having the right people on the ground to service existing clients and build new relationships,'' Rotatori added.
GR-NEAM is a Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC)-registered investment advisor and specializes in providing capital and investment management services primarily to the insurance industry.
