Ge Announced The Return of The LED Omni A19 to The Taiwanese Market

The release of low priced LED bulbs by Cree acted as a catalyst this year. One by one international companies are speeding up their LED lighting market strategy. GE Lighting Solutions (GE) hosted their 2014 new product conference on November 19th 2013, with lighting partners Lextar, Chicony, and LiteOn. GE announced the return of the LED Omni A19 to the Taiwanese market and showcased a multitude of new products.

Products featured during the new products conference included high bay fixtures, panel fixtures, and tubes. For high bay fixtures, GE released the Albeo ABHX series LED luminaire which utilizes innovative heat-sink technology to provide a wide range of lighting outputs that replace 250W-1,500W HID and four-to-eight lamps. The ABHX series also has a flexible design where LED components can be added depending on consumer preference. In addition, motion, daylight, and wireless control functions allow the luminaire to adjust luminosity according to environmental changes.

In response to office and commercial lighting demands, GE also released the LED Edgelit Luminaires series, a low luminosity LED replacement for traditional linear fluorescent lamps. Employing 128 LEDs on a single side and utilizing micro lens to open up lighting angles, both sides are efficiently illuminated. With the Edgelit series, 40 percent of light is cast upwards and 60 percent cast downwards. The fixture is available in color temperatures of 3000K, 3500K and 4000K.

GE also released the LED Skyline series for commercial and residential lighting which overturns the concept of not suspending tube lights. The LED Skyline light is able to reach 120 degrees angle from both sides , and the middle section of the light employs metal material in its design giving a traditional fixture a modern twist. The fixture is available in color temperatures of 3000K, 4000K and 5700K. The light fixture is produced in cooperation with Taiwanese manufacturer Lextar.
