Cromwell Polythene Introduced a New Website to Secure Better Packaging Volumes

UK-based supplier of sacks, bags and speciality products Cromwell Polythene has launched a new website webuypolythene.com, an offshoot of its recycling division which is expected to help the company secure better volumes of transit packaging waste and surplus and redundant stock.

The material purchased by the website including redundant stocks of plastic, in house production waste and transit packaging will be sorted and baled at Cromwell's 21,000ft2 recycling facility, before being returned to the company's production partners, as part of its 'closed loop' sustainability strategy.

New refuse and recycling sacks will be manufactured with much of the recovered polythene and will be supplied by Cromwell to the local authority, waste management and cleaning and janitorial sectors.

Cromwell managing director Garth Imison said the company is a registered waste carrier and EA accredited exporter and can offer a secure and auditable trail, from collection to reprocessing.

"What this means to those companies for whom waste management may previously have been a hit-and-miss affair is that they are dealing with a company on which they can rely - a company that will collect on a regular basis in a professional and reliable manner, that will provide weighbridge receipts for their loads, secure destruction, competitive pricing and perhaps more importantly, prompt and reliable payment," Imison said.
