Germany's Crude Steel Output Increased by 2.2 Percent Year on Year

In January this year, Germany's crude steel output increased by 2.2 percent year on year to 3.7 million metric tons, rising by 5.8 percent compared to December, according to the information provided by the German steel federation Wirtschaftsvereinigung Stahl (WV Stahl).

On the other hand, in 2013, Germany's total hot rolled steel product output amounted to 36.4 million metric tons, indicating a slight decrease of 0.3 percent, including 23.6 million metric tons of flat steel products - down 0.3 percent, and 12.8 million metric tons of long steel products - up 0.3 percent, all on-year-on year basis.
