23rd Round Trial Under The Auspices of CSITC Task Force Was Conducted From July

The 23rd Round Trial under the auspices of the Task Force on Commercial Standardization of Instrument Testing of Cotton (CSITC Task Force) was conducted from July to September 2012.

During the Round Trial, 83 testing facilities from all continents submitted results from 148 instruments, the highest participation since the Round Trials started in 2007.

With a median evaluation of 0.46, (zero would be perfect) this Round Trial showed one of the best results ever, proving that participating laboratories are improving their performances.

The purpose of the Round Trials is not to grade laboratories or provide pass/fail results. The purpose of the Round Trials is to improve cotton instrument testing world wide by detailed, confidential, diagnostic results to each participating laboratory.

The International Cotton Advisory Committee (ICAC) is an association of governments of cotton producing and consuming countries. The Secretariat of the Committee publishes information related to world cotton production, supply, demand and prices, and provides technical information on cotton production technology.
