The biennial Harrogate event, known previously as Northprint, is going in for a revamp for its next edition on 14-16 May 2013, in a bid to emphasize the increasing importance of the packaging market in the print sector.
Packaging-specific suppliers, such as flexo press makers Edale and K2, will display printing presses at the show.
According to the organizer, Informa, it has also promised to attract packaging specifiers and buyers with a series of seminars dedicated to packaging and POS.
Informa sales manager Northprint Mary Buck said that already at the 2011 edition of show, a lot of exhibitors' showcased packaging-specific applications.
"And since the flexo industry hasn't had a dedicated national show to showcase new materials and technologies since 2005, it is a logical decision for us to broaden the focus of the show," Buck added.
