United States USS-Pohang Iron and Steel Company on January 14th Planned to Cut 690 Jobs

It is reported that United States USS-Pohang iron and steel company on January 14th planned to cut 690 jobs but it was still not clear whether the layoff was temporary plan. It is understood that the plant currently employs about 800 people. However, the company has laid off 700 people due to decline orders and prices fell in September 2011. The company's production of cold-rolled sheet, galvanized sheet, hot-rolled pickled and oiled plate and Tin plate are mainly used for furniture, construction, auto parts, and so on.
