Northern India's Biggest Garment Show "Retail Source India" Is All Set for Debut

Northern India’s biggest garment show “RETAIL SOURCE INDIA” is all set for it’s debut edition at Pragati Maidan from 19th to 21st  July 2014 in Hall No. 14. The show being organized by AEMA (Apparel Exporters & Manufacturers Association) is the only show that would bring the entire gamut of garment manufacturers, retailers, brands, online retailers, wholesalers, distributors and agents under one roof. The aim of RETAIL SOURCE INDIA is to organize the retail segment and utilize the growing potential of Indian domestic market.

The  show  is being  conducted in an exclusive pavilion  measuring 2400 sq.mtr which showcases  price competitive garments like men’s shirts, trousers, denims, jackets, ladies tops, kids wear, kurtis, jeggings, leggings, bridal wear, saris, sherwanis, accessories, fabrics and many more.   Manufacturers from Delhi, NCR, UP, Haryana, Mumbai, Kolkata, Ludhiana and many more places will be seen displaying their latest range of garments for the domestic market. 

The show will also see numerous activities like Fashion shows where latest trends in different product categories will be showcased at the ramp. Also, a lot of seminars and demos will be conducted simultaneously to aware the manufacturers and retailers about latest updates in technology and systems that can help them thrive better in retail domain.

Retail Source India would see visitation from all top brands and retailers like Shoppers Stop, Pantaloon, Wills Lifestyle, Ritu Wear, Bharti Retail, Bindals, Reliance Trends and many more.   Also, e-commerce companies like Jabong, flipkart, Myntra, snapdeal, Zovi, Amazon and many more will be visiting the show along with their sourcing teams. Distributors and agents from all over India are also invited to visit the show and make new contacts and business associations.

“Retail Source India is the vision of our association AEMA that would create a platform for serious B2B meetings and prove to be authentic buyer seller platform for those engaged in domestic garment industry,” said Lalit Gulati, President,  AEMA.  He further added, “Indian domestic market is increasing everyday and there is a need for suppliers who can offer capacities, prices and innovative designs, Retail Source India will be a platform to source all these in one go.”

Roadshows were conducted in cities like Delhi, Meerut, Aligarh, Jaipur, Ludhiana, Chandigarh, Amritsar, Varanasi, Surat, Ahmedabad, Indore, Mau, Jodhpur, Bhopal, Gorakhpur, Lucknow, Bareilly and many more places to ensure high number of visitors at the fair.

Organized retail is a new phenomenon in India and despite the downturns, the market is growing exponentially, it is expected that by 2015, more than 300 million shoppers are likely to patronize organized retail chains. The growing middle class is an important factor contributing to the growth of retail in India. By 2030, it is estimated that 91 million households will be ‘middle class’, up from 21 million.
