Inkjet Forum Launchs a Practical Training Workshop Series for The Digital Textile Industry

Inkjet Forum India is launching a practical training workshop series for the digital textile industry aimed at increasing the understanding and implementation of digital colour matching and profiling standards.

The first series of these workshops will be held in Delhi and Surat on 27 February and 8 March, 2015, respectively. The workshop series, supported by DPInnovations, Colorjet and X-rite, will be exclusive invitation-only events with limited seating.

The objectives of the workshop will be: understanding the print objective; complete demonstration of CTB profile creation with RIPMaster; creating an ICC profile for use in other RIP Software using X-Rite’s i1Profiler software; displaying the correct colour on the monitor; understanding colour gamut and colour standards (lab and HCL); hands-on use of an X-Rite i1 spectro with live colour matching and print demonstration; and boost business with improved quality and print repeatability by matching colours digitally.

The need for organising such a workshop series has arisen because the high print quality and superior colour accuracy being produced in other countries has not been achieved to the same extent in India, although digital textile printing has been present in the country for the past 12 years.

The workshop series will be the first of its kind to provide real hands-on knowledge ensuring the optimum print results can be obtained from every type of digital printing equipment and software. For company owners this will ensure greater success, less errors and increase the confidence of the textile industry in India towards digital textile printing technology, resulting in increased investment and benefiting all stakeholders of the industry.

As a leading knowledge transfer platform for digital textile printing in South Asia, Inkjet Forum India is also organising the 5th edition of International Digital Textile Conference - Inkjet India 2015 on 26 February, 2015 at the India Habitat Centre in New Delhi.
