Honesty Food has launched its new green tea Teasy in 250ml FUSION aluminium bottle designed and developed by UK-based Rexam.
The new bottle for Teasy tea features different shape that is said to distinguish it from other 250ml slimline cans.
Rexam claims that the bottle has been designed to safeguard the liquid from harmful UV lights and also to protect the taste of the tea, while allowing impact pasteurisation.
Honesty Foods founder Jonathan Middlemiss said Rexam has developed a fully recyclable packaging solution that keeps Teasy tea fresh.
"Rexam provided tremendous support throughout the whole process, from the initial design meetings through to quality control measures," Middlemiss added.
The FUSION bottles for Teasy tea, which comes in Green Tea and Chamomile and Green Tea and Peppermint flavours, are manufactured at Rexam's Ejpovice plant.
According to Honesty Food, the new tea will be available in major supermarkets and coffee chains in the UK from Spring 2014.
