Precision Products Moves to Their New 120,000 Square Foot Facility in Dalton Is Complete

Precision Products announced that the move to their new 120,000 square foot facility in Dalton is complete. Precision is an ISO-9001:2008 certified company specializing in sales, service and repair of equipment for the automotive, power generation, food, beverage, medical, aerospace and textile industries.

The move to the new location which started in March of 2013 has resulted in significant growth in sales and employment. “The multi-million dollar expansion in the new facility and equipment positions us to continue growing and supporting our customers with high precision parts and services,” says President David Davis.

Since moving to Dalton, PPI has added a total of seven state of the art CNC machines. The expansion represents a 40% increase in production capacity and 20 new jobs in the last six months.

According to Shannon Bowling, (Sr. Engineer/Programmer), “The acquisition of the equipment is an upgrade in terms of accuracy compared to any other 5-axis machining centers available and will significantly reduce production costs as well.” Precision is the first company in the USA to obtain these new machines which includes an all new Mazatrol Matrix 2 controller. The new interface is both easier to use and allows faster setups for small production runs.

With the advancement of robotic equipment at customers’ plants, the demands as a supplier are increasing and in order to meet these needs, this type of equipment and a highly trained workforce are requirements. This expansion not only marks their 20th year anniversary, it also puts PPI in a solid position to take advantage of the growth in high technology manufacturing that is taking place in the Southeast.
