iPhone 7 Leak: Shorter and Thicker Handset Tipped in Schematics

While the iPhone 7 is largely expected to mimic the look and feel of the iPhone 6S range, new reports on Tuesday suggest their may be some extremely subtle changes to the body.

Schematics published today by Dutch site techtastic.nl claim to reveal the iPhone 7 will be ever so slightly thicker and shorter than the current iteration.

When we say slightly, we mean less than one tenth of a millimetre for each metric.

The site (via The next Web), which does have previous for learning accurate information from inside Apple’s manufacturing partners, is also touting a photo it says is the forthcoming handset’s rear casing.

The slightly pixelated photo shows a larger camera lens, as has been rumoured for months.

It also appears to back up whispers of a redesigned antenna system, which makes the rear of the phone look a little tidier.

Much of the reporting on the iPhone 7 has been focused on little the phone will change in 2016.

Speculation has suggested the home button may be redesigned to incorporate force touch tech, while the company is also thought to be removing the 3.5mm headphone jack.

The iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus are likely to arrive in September 2016 alongside the completed version of iOS 10.
