The Telangana Government Is Sending a Delegation to Various Prominent Textile Markets

The Telangana government, in order to make Warangal a hub for textile manufacturing and trading, is sending a delegation to various prominent textile markets in India like Surat, Sholapur and Tirupur.

The team will include elected representatives from Warangal and also state government officials who will study these markets and thereafter prepare a roadmap for setting up a Textile Park.

“Government is planning to set-up a Textile Park, which will house textile manufacturing units and will also encourage traders to set up shop within the Park,” Warangal MP Kadiyam Srihari told the media.

The team will visit the textile hub of Surat from January 2-4, 2015 and thereafter tour Sholapur in Maharashtra and Tirupur in Tamil Nadu.

Srihari said that a land survey in Hanamkonda, Hasanparthy and Geesugonda mandals has already been done and around 1,899 acres has been identified in the three mandals for the project. (AR)
