UK packaging specialist Creation Reprographics has collaborated with narrow web ink and coatings specialist Pulse Roll Label Products to provide advanced tactile packaging solutions for customers.
The companies have worked together for a new food packaging compliant UV flexo rough texture varnish developed for craft beer label market and other specialised print applications.
For varnish application, Creation has assessed dot structures of its plates to ensure the UV tactile varnish attained the desired textural requirements.
The company has also evaluated the designs, which show better tactile feel when using the product.
The team evaluated wood effect, hessian feel, wallpaper and simple text formats to bring maximum feel out of each texture.
Creation has also developed four different label designs that can be used with Asahi AWP flexo plates.
Additionally, Pulse Roll Label has partnered with Sandon Global and Hamilton Adhesive Labels to advance ink, anilox and self-adhesive label printing applications.
