The Output of Crude Steel Reached Increase 4% in July From June Level

Ukrainian steelmaker Alchevsk Iron and Steel Works (Alchevsk), a subsidiary of Ukrainian steel producer Industrial Union of Donbass (ISD), has announced that in the current month of July it plans to increase its crude steel production by four percent compared to June to 380,000 mt and to increase its production of steel products by three percent month on month to around 350,000 mt, including 210,000 mt of slabs and around 80,000 mt of flat steel products.

In January-June this year, Alchevsk produced 2.2 million mt of crude steel, up 13 percent compared to the same period of 2012, and 2 million mt of steel products, up 15 percent year on year.
