US-based Global packaging solutions provider MeadWestvaco will display its packaging solutions for the consumer electronics industry at the 2013 International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) from 8-11 January in Las Vegas, US.
The company's theme for the hospitality lounge is '(R)evolution,' in order to spotlight on the evolution of innovative packaging for the consumer electronics industry which encourages sales and prevents theft.
MWV is to launch a revolutionary security packaging system at the show in partnership with ProTeqt Technologies, which taps digital technology to reduce thefts and increase sales.
The system consists of a small lock placed on consumer electronics products, which renders the product non-functional till it is digitally disabled by the retail associate at checkout.
MWV consumer electronics and security packaging systems VP Jeff Kellogg said CES is a design and innovation show and the right platform to introduce a new solution which provides retailers and brand owners with the needed security and product protection.
"For many years, MWV has addressed the needs of the consumer electronics industry through innovative packaging solutions; we are continuing this legacy with our partnership with ProTeqt Technologies," Kellogg said.
The company will also showcase its award-winning Natralock with Siren technology packaging solution.
