INVISTA Puts Colour Back as It Renews Its Partnership with Billabong Girl Swim Collection

This year will see INVISTA help put the colour back into summer as it renews its partnership with Billabong Girl swim collection and its ‘Colour Love’ campaign. With the entire collection featuring XTRA LIFE LYCRA fibre every Billabong girl can walk out with unstoppable confidence that her swimwear will stand the test of time against degradation from chlorine, sunscreen and oils.

Come sport, swim or sun, XTRA LIFE LYCRA is proven to resist fibre breakage five times longer than other chlorine-resistant elastane, ensuring your swimwear maintains a superb fit all season long!

To embrace the ‘Colour of Love’, Billabong will be creating a monthly online Lookbook, with the Blue Lookbook going live in May and June - dedicated to the Billabong Girl swimwear range with XTRA LIFE LYCRA.

The Lookbook campaign is to be amplified across various social media platforms and INVISTA is thrilled to be supporting the Facebook activity. The campaign will also include a contest in which the public is asked to upload photos associated with the colour blue, the winner gaining a coveted bikini from the gorgeous Billabong Girl collection that is sure to maintain its fit from start to finish with XTRA LIFE LYCRA!

Michèle Duncan, Marketing Account Manager at Intimate Apparel / Swimwear, INVISTA says: “This summer’s renewed partnership between INVISTA and Billabong is exciting news. We are proud of the continued association with such a globally recognised brand and the incorporation of XTRA LIFE LYCRA fibre in the fabulous Billabong Girl swim collection.”

When put to the test against chlorine-resistant fibre, XTRA LIFE LYCRA fibre showed no breakage, while comparison swimwear showed significant breakage.

XTRA LIFE LYCRA fibre is known for its promise of superb fit and resistance to degradation from the swim environment, with a proven record of strength when faced with the damaging effects of chlorine, sunscreen, perspiration or heat. Furthermore, 77 per cent of women around the globe agree that they would be more likely to buy a suit labelled with the XTRA LIFE LYCRA fibre brand than one without.
