Furniture Today's on The Water Report Continues to Offer a Look at Import Activity

Furniture Today's On the Water report in the fourth quarter, continues to offer a look at furniture import activity based on twenty-foot equivalent (TEU) container traffic, arriving at U.S. ports, from key Asian countries.

In October the report examined U.S. furniture import shipments from The Philippines for the first six months in 2012, as well as the top U.S. ports receiving furniture. The report also featured the wholesale vessel value of furniture shipments from The Philippines for the second quarter of 2011 to the same quarter in 2012.

On the Water for November focused on furniture shipments leaving Vietnam by TEUs for the second and third quarters of 2012. The report revealed the top Vietnamese ports shipping furniture containers for that same time period. Also included were the wholesale vessel value of furniture shipments from Vietnam for the second quarter of 2011 to the same quarter in 2012.

And, in December the focus was on furniture shipments from China, including the top Chinese ports shipping furniture and the wholesale vessel value of furniture shipments.

Furniture/Today partnered with Zepol Corp. to gather the data using information from the bills of lading for containers being shipped.
