Pact Group and LiquiGlide Team up for Paint Packaging

Slippery coating technology firm LiquiGlide has inked a pact with Australian sustainable and innovative packaging maker Pact Group Holdings for designing a paint packaging that does away sticking and residues.

LiquiGlide, which develops wet, liquid-impregnated surface technology, will help Pact Group come up with such packaging with a view to allowing customers to get the most of paint and minimizing the environmental problems involving residues.

Pact Group general manager Mark Nothnagel said: "At Pact, we are not only focused on creating innovative packaging solutions that add value for our customers and end users, but also solutions that are more sustainable.

"Our partnership with LiquiGlide will allow us to explore and eventually provide paint packaging solutions that will benefit the environment, the brand owners and the end consumer. This is a great demonstration of our organization living one of our core values; to constantly seek opportunities for transformational change."

LiquiGlide's coatings are derived by mixing a textured solid with a liquid, forming a permanently wet slippery surface to help viscous liquids slide hassle-free. The technology is said to prevent skin formation and flaking.
