Lucien Georgelin Chooses a Range of Its High Quality Fruit Compotes and Desserts

Specialist French manufacturer Lucien Georgelin will be packaging a range of its high quality fruit compotes and desserts in To-Go snack packs that have been developed in collaboration with RPC Bebo Bouxwiller.

A part of the RPC Group, the unit specialises in producing a range of thermoformed plastic packaging solutions aimed at the food sector with its expertise lying in inline extrusion-thermoforming in PP monolayer and PP/EVOH/PP multilayer containers.

The product was developed to meet the increasing demand for on-the-go snacking.

The new multilayer 68mm pots are thermoformed in polypropylene and have an EVOH barrier to give the products a long ambient shelf life. These containers are sealed with foil and the lid also features a spoon for easy eating on the move.

Using transparent packs and attractive labels, the company will be able to maximise the visual appeal of the fruits while enhancing its on-shelf image and appeal.

Based in France, Lucien Georgelin has been known as a specialist in the production of preserves and fruit-based products that uses traditional flavours. The company feels that the take-away and snacks sector have a huge potential for new product introductions.

Both RPC Bebo Bouxwiller and Lucien Georgelin have worked together in the past to develop a range of packaging solutions.

Europe-based RPC Group specialises in inventing, designing and producing plastic packaging for food and non-food producers. The company produces plastic packaging by using injection moulding, thermoforming and blow moulding.
