Capmpden BRI Would Involve Itself in ISA-Pack

UK-based Capmpden BRI would involve itself in ISA-Pack, a packaging material project funded by EU that started in January.

The project aims to identify synergistic combinations of effective food preservation chemistries that may be grafted in polymeric materials to develop an indicator system that could be directly printed on the packaging materials.

According to the firm, certain industrial packaging processes for stretch wrapping of beef and other meat products in real-food scenarios would be tested as part of the project.

The ISA-Pack aims to reduce supply chain wastage by 75% by the development of innovative and sustainable packaging materials that offer cost benefits by virtue of reliable indicator systems.
