ExxonMobil Introduced Mobil DTE 732 M to Help Companies Increase Productivity

ExxonMobil Fuels & Lubricants has introduced Mobil DTE 732 M, an enhanced, high-performance turbine oil formulated to help oil and gas companies increase the productivity of their gas and steam turbines.

Mobil DTE 732 M oil is recommended for use in Mitsubishi Heavy Industries’ (MHI) range of non-geared single shaft gas and steam turbines, and multi-shaft gas turbines. The oil is approved against MHI’s stringent MS04-MA-CL005 specification, which means it meets MHI’s protection requirements for long life and high temperature turbine applications.

In extensive field trials and laboratory testing, Mobil DTE 732 M demonstrated the ability to enhance system cleanliness, deliver exceptional thermal stability and minimise varnish formation, all of which are critical for turbine durability and performance. Used mainly in the oil and gas industry, gas turbines provide a reliable and efficient power source to run various machines and applications, both offshore and onshore, even in the most aggressive environments. They also play a fundamental role in liquefied natural gas (LNG) operations and transportation. Keeping gas turbines running effectively is critical to maximising plant productivity and reducing unscheduled downtime.

“Companies operating within the oil and gas industry rely on ExxonMobil’s high-performance gas turbine oils to help increase turbine reliability and power output,” said Ayman Ali, Oil and Gas Marketing Advisor EAME, ExxonMobil Fuels & Lubricants. “The introduction of the new Mobil DTE 732 M is the latest addition to a line of oils designed to improve safety and productivity.”

In addition to the Mobil DTE 732 M gas turbine oil, ExxonMobil offers a wide range of high-performance lubricants for various applications within the oil and gas industry, including:

· Mobil SHC 600 Series – A family of high-performance synthetic circulating and gear oils that can deliver a service life up to six times longer than competitive mineral oil based gear and bearing lubricants. These oils also demonstrate outstanding low temperature fluidity to help ease start up and operation at low temperatures, and excellent resistance to rust and corrosion. The Mobil SHC 600 Series also exhibit energy savings of up to 3.6 per cent* compared to conventional oils.

· Mobil SHC Pegasus Series – Natural gas engine oils which help reduce fuel consumption by up to 1.5 percent** and have the potential to increase oil drain intervals to more than 16,000 hours – four to eight times that of conventional natural gas engine oils.

· Mobil SHC Polyrex Series – Advanced synthetic greases that can help protect equipment from wet environments by delivering a combination of outstanding low and high temperature performance, excellent water resistance and balanced wear protection.

Alongside its dedicated range of high quality lubricants, ExxonMobil offers its proprietary online oil analysis service, Signum Oil AnalysisSM.  Signum enables operators to proactively monitor the condition of both lubricants and equipment. Through the use of an oil analysis service, such as Signum, operators can address the potential causes that lead to unscheduled downtime and increased costs.
