Terry Scuoler Will Outline Industry's View of The Uk's Role in Europe

Opening the second day of the free PDM conference, which returns to Telford on 16 and 17 June, Terry Scuoler, chief executive, EEF (the manufacturers' organisation) will outline industry's view of the UK's role in Europe. His keynote speech promises to start setting out the parameters of a potential renegotiation; working out what's achievable and, perhaps more importantly, what's desirable.

Scuoler?became chief executive of EEF in March 2010 with a vision and commitment to take part in a renewed interest and resurgence in the UK's manufacturing and engineering sectors. As well as being a member of several ministerial committees, he sits on the Boards of SEMTA, the Sector Skills Council for Manufacturing and the University of Sheffield Advanced Manufacturing Institute (AMI).

He is also Chair of the Council of European Employers of the Metal, Engineering and Technology-based Industries (CEEMET) representing some 200,000 businesses and 35 million employees across Europe.

Celebrating its 10th anniversary, PDM will be co-located with the second Plastics Recycling Expo (PRE) and the new Plastics Packaging Show (PPS). The combined events have attracted over 150 exhibiting companies and organisations from the plastics design, moulding, recycling and packaging sectors of the industry.

Telford has a reputation as the centre of the polymer industry. It is home to over 100 polymer-related companies, and was the venue for PDM's debut show in 200.
