Many Famous Models and Brand Ambassadors May Rethink and Eventually Terminate Contracts

Many famous models and brand ambassadors may rethink and eventually terminate their contracts with some of the reputed high-end fashion labels they are professionally associated with, due to an investigative report released by Greenpeace International,a leading independent campaigning organization.

The Greenpeace report goes against the ethics of celebrities like Miranda Kerr, who advocate eco-friendly way of living.Hence,it is likely that such celebrities may pull out of advertising for brands, whose names have been included in the report.According to the report titled'Toxic Threads-The Big Fashion Stitch-Up',hazardous chemicals have been found in clothes manufactured by nearly 20 international high-street fashion brands, including Zara,Mango,Calvin Klein,Jack&Jones and Marks&Spencer.

The investigation conducted tests on over 141 clothing items and found toxic chemicals used by the textile manufacturing facilities that leave cancer causing and hormone disrupting chemical residues in the final products.

These chemicals further contribute to toxic water pollution around the world while they are being manufactured as well as washed.Greenpeace International is a non-governmental environmental organization that uses peaceful direct action and creative communication to expose global environmental hazardous practices.
