A New Packaging for Chocolate Bar is invented by National Flexible

UK-based distributor of polypropylene, laminates and special films National Flexible has created new packaging for a functional chocolate bar, which is fortified with vitamins and minerals.

The packaging firm produced the laminate film on one of its high speed gravure presses and applied a patterned cold-seal adhesive during the process.

The addition of adhesive will enable the film to be sealed at low-temperatures without affecting the product.

As part of the redesign, National Flexible engineered the laminate's outer layer to release from the adhesive easily as the film unwinds on the packaging machine.

According to the company, this is said to do away with the requirement for an extra release lacquer and cut down time as well as cost on press.
