How to Transfer Data From PS4 to PS4 Pro

Tags: PS4 Pro, PS4

The PS4 Pro is out now, and there are bound to be many gamers hoping to transfer beloved games, saves and screenshots over to their shiny new console.

Luckily, this can be done quickly and easily with the use of a standard ethernet cable, according to Sony’s official FAQ

How to transfer data from PS4 to PS4 Pro

Method 1 - Ethernet Cable

This first method involves connecting an ethernet cable between your current PS4 and newly unboxed PS4 Pro. All you need to do is ensure both systems are equipped with system software 4.00 or above, and you’re good to go. You will also need to have the same PSN account logged in on both systems, so your game library is fully recognised.

If done correctly all of your games, saved data, captured videos and screenshots, system settings, and other content will have transferred over successfully.

Method 2 - Manual Download

If you don’t have an ethernet cable lying around, you could instead opt to manually download your library of games. This does mean that your screenshots and videos will not be carried over, but all your saves will be backed up by the cloud if you’re an active PlayStation Plus member.

We’ll be sure to update this article with more specific instructions as they emerge, so check back if you’re still having trouble.
