Nude Brand Creation Designs Two New Bottles for Steklarna Hrastnik

Nude Brand Creation has designed two new bottles for Slovenian glass maker Steklarna Hrastnik.

Steklarna Hrastnik aimed to expand its glassware offerings, which were limited to glass bottle packaging, glassware, lighting and a small range of bottles.

Nude claims to have offered 14 bottle designs, which were based on its knowledge of the different shapes used by brands. Steklarna Hrastnik selected two out of the 14 designs.

The first design is Jupiter, which Nude says was inspired by the bottle that comes straight from the distiller’s sampling room.

The bottle’s tapered body is narrowed towards the top. And it is being hailed as an ideal bottle design for packaging spirits such as whisky, gin, tequila, vodka or cognac.

The second design is Mars, which was inspired by industrial and innovative Victorian era. According to Nude, the bottle looks like it emerged straight from East End of London or Brooklyn in the early part of the last century.

The bottle has been designed to have a reverse concave neck detail, with a tapered body. Its form evokes freshness and modernity and is suited for small batches or limited releases of hard liquor.

As per Nude, these designs are ideally suited for hard liquor such as gin where there are increasing number of challenger brands and lack of funds to develop their own bottles. Nude claims that its bottle designs can appeal to both start-ups and established international brands.

Nude Brand Creation partner Tony Enoch said: “This was a true collaboration. Together we have created beautiful new bottles which not only meet a gap in the market, but with renewed positioning and marketing collateral, will help to catch designer’s eyes. As designers working in the spirits industry, we knew exactly what they would be looking for to inspire them.”

Steklarna Hrastnik general director Andrej Bozic said: “The new additions to our super-premium High Glass range reflect the latest design trends. Our Innovation Days help us find new opportunities in the glass industry, share industry knowledge and develop innovative solutions.

“This not only maintains our position in the market but allows us to shape new trends, placing ourselves and our partners ahead of the competition.”
