Cromwell Polythene Has Launched a New Packaging Division

Cromwell Polythene has launched a new packaging division, and announced changes in its sales force in the UK.

The packaging arm of Cromwell will supply general purpose bags, including food grade polythene bags and liners, and a range of grip-seal bags in clear polythene and in virgin food grade material.

Niall McClintock has been appointed as the sales head of the newly created packaging division. He will be managing particularly the east of England, Scotland and Northern Ireland, the company said.

Announcing the restructure, Cromwell Polythene managing director James Lee said: "The reorganisation of the sales team by region will considerably enhance our efficiency and improve customer service at a local level, while retaining an industry focus for those with specialist sector skills."

"Alongside the external restructuring we are modifying the way in which we channel enquiries and manage order processing in the sales office, with each member of the field sales team paired with an office-based account manager who has detailed customer knowledge, which will streamline the whole operation."

Cromwell specializes in manufacturing polyethylene sacks made from virgin and recycled blends.

The company currently operates under councils, industrial & consumer, waste management, healthcare and janitorial divisions.

The council division supplies refuse sacks, recycling sacks, Ecopond biodegradable, compostable bags, paper sacks, battery bags, dog waste bags and clinical waste sacks to local councils in the UK.

The LOWCO2T range, offered under the waste management division, provides options for domestic refuse and recycling sacks.

Cromwell sells refuse sacks, wheeled bin liners, tiger stripe sacks for deep landfill of offensive/hygiene waste, yellow UN sacks for incineration of hazardous waste and orange UN sacks for alternative treatment of infectious through its healthcare division.

The janitorial division supplies polythene table sheeting, gloves and food contact bags, box liners and cut sheets.
