Davis Urged All Companies to Respond to The Consultation by The 7 June

Brussels published its Green Paper entitled European strategy on plastic waste in the environment, last week (7 March). It poses the question ‘What shall we do about plastic waste?’

Speaking at a PET conference in Amsterdam yesterday, BPF director general Peter Davis urged delegates to respond to the consultation.  Addressing the 80-strong audience, he said: “This is an important development highlighting negatively as it does used plastics impact on the environment and alleged risk to health.  We would also say this could affect our competitiveness against other materials.”

Davis urged all companies to respond to the consultation by the 7 June. He said: “It’s very important your companies, guided by your trade associations respond individually so that our voice is heard loud and clear.”
