Taiwan's Basic Metal Export Orders up 0.4% Compared to July

In August this year, Taiwan's basic metal and basic metal product export orders amounted to $2.38 billion, up 0.4 percent compared to July and increasing by 6.4 percent compared to August 2013, according to Taiwan's Ministry of Economic Affairs. The country's basic metal and basic metal product export orders had increased by percent 1.8 and by 8.8 percent July and June this year respectively, both on year-on-year basis.

On the other hand, the country's basic metal and basic metal product export orders in the January-August period of the current year amounted to a value of $18.93 billion, rising by 5.4 percent on year-on-year basis.
