Raising funds for The Toy Trust, members from across the company will be taking part in a variety of fundraising activities.

John Adams Leisure is taking part in The Big Cambridge Challenge to raise money for charities supported by The Toy Trust.

Members from across the Huntingdon based company, will be taking part in a variety of fundraising activities including sky diving, a 50 mile cycle ride, a 10k run and a two mile open water swim and 10k cycle ride.

The challenges will run throughout the summer, with Lynette Norris kicking things off this weekend with a two mile open water swim around Alton Water, followed by a 10k off-road cycle ride at the main Cambridge event.

Nigel Dye, Matthew Parlett and Jon Waterson will be taking on the 50 mile cycling challenge, while Marlety Garcia and Lorraine Ward will be tackling a 10k run.

Last - but not least - Karen Sutcliffe and Paul Mabbs will be jumping out of a plane at 12,000 feet to complete a tandem sky dive.

The team’s aim is to raise £1,500 with all funds going to charities supported by The Toy Trust.

“It’s great to be taking part in The Toy Trust’s Big Challenge for the first time this year,” said Lynette Norris, marketing manager at John Adams.

“The charities we’re raising money for do such an amazing and important job, so we want to raise as much money as possible to help them to continue to make a difference to many children and their families’ lives.”

The Big Cambridge Challenge is aiming to raise over £200,000 for charities supported by The Toy Trust. The charities that will be supported include 10 of the UK's leading Children's Hospices around the country.
